This is a sampling of my visual art. The paintings are for the most part very textural, using unusual things—building materials, found objects, refuse from the side of the road. With my photography I tried to alter the images by placing different things before the lens, this last stop between the image and the eye—pieces of glass, cellophane, jars, old bottles, my favorite 18th century wine glass. The results are especially intriguing with the series of portraits.
